We are very pleased to share with you these images from a donation program we hosted at Sanatha Suwaya on Saturday, August 22.
In this program, large parcels of vital food items were given to individual members from 12 different families from nearby areas.
This sponsorship for this program came from multiple individuals, who were organized by Roshan Chandrasekara. Roshan is a native Sri Lankan, living with his wife in the US, and discovered Bhante Sujatha and Sanatha Suwaya a few months ago online. He contacted Bhante Sujatha, and asked how we could all work together to do meritorious work in Sri Lanka.
We started with a single event, and from that day, Roshan has committed his energy to fundraising, and sharing the message of Bhante’s work to motivate more interested people to get involved. This is now the third program we have completed, and there are plans for a donation program each month for the next 12 months!
We are so proud and grateful to Bhante Sujatha, Roshan, all the donors, and everyone here at Sanatha Suwaya working together to make these programs a success.
