July 22nd marked a special event organized by Sanatha Suawya and the Blue Rose School. Through the support of donations, the loving kindness of friends and community members, our annual walk to bring awareness to differently abled Sri Lankans was a huge success! Approximately 300 children, family members, and local supporters participated, including a visit from the Governor. We began the event at the Sacred Temple of the Tooth, walked around the entire Kandy Lake, and ended the journey at place called Awanhala. Once there, local children greeted participants with a very entertaining and delightful performance. Thank you to all the donors, volunteers, and participants who helped make this event so successful. Always remember, “Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to others.” – Buddha
